Serial Wildland Arson Investigator Training Update
SWAIT Reno 2024 was a huge success this year, with over 80 people in attendance. We’ve received overwhelming positive feedback from this year’s training and for our speakers.
“This was the best training seminar I have attended in years. The level was much higher, targeted at experienced investigators and that is very difficult to find.”
NWCGs FI310 course update is being finalized. SWAIT staff were involved with the final beta class back in early March in Buellton California. Ed Nordskog and Scott Fischer revamped Unit 1 for the course expanding and updating the Behavior and Pattern Analysis section. Unit 1 has been expanded into five sections and now contains eight hours of course material. The course should be finalized by the end of summer and published by the end of the year. There are several FI310 courses being planned for 2025. If you’d like more information on FI310 please contact us.
SWAIT Reno 2025 planning has begun. The dates have been set for February 25-27, 2025. More information on the training will be available late October and registration will begin by November 1st. Keep an eye on the website and our newsletter for training updates.
